Morris View provides nurturing skilled nursing care for those with Alzheimer’s disease, memory impairment, and age-related dementia. Our dedicated 51-bed secured dementia care unit under the direction of the esteemed Dr. Seema Bery is specifically designed to promote the safety and wellbeing of our residents, diminish agitation and confusion, and provide a warm and loving atmosphere in which they can thrive with dignity and grace.
Our unit is staffed by well-trained caregivers selected for their skill, patience and compassion, who are attuned to the unique needs of this population and committed to enhancing their quality of life. To safeguard the physical and emotional health of our residents, our continuum of care includes behavioral management, medication management and geriatric psychology services.
To ensure the safety of our residents and to prevent wandering, the unit features its own dining room and a day room for guided recreational activities. Residents benefit greatly from our 2 special Sensory Rooms that offer gentle stimulation of sight, sound, touch, taste, smell and movement in a controlled environment.
