Dear Residents, Staff, and Resident Representatives:

We are delighted we continue to be COVID-free. We are still testing staff once a week and residents per guidelines. Those who are fully vaccinated do not have to test weekly. We continue to follow CDC guidelines and New Jersey Department of Health directives.
All appropriate infection control measures continue to be taken, per CDC and NJ Department of Health guidelines. We continue to monitor all staff and residents for signs and symptoms of Covid-19 and practice infection control measures in all interactions.

We continue to welcome visitors for residents who are not in quarantine. In order to keep our environment as safe as possible and control the flow of traffic through the facility, visits must be scheduled in advance. Please contact Daria Cohen at 973-285-2865 or email  to set up an appointment. Please remember that all visitors will be required to undergo screening, and will not be permitted entry if they have had recent exposure to COVID-19 or if they present with symptoms of the virus.

Residents can request to go out on pass. This will be granted case to case but without overnight privileges. Residents are required to sign a document that agrees that they are aware of Facility policy and they will uphold the regulations while out on pass. The family representative that is taking the resident out must also sign the document.

We will be having vaccination clinics as necessary. We are working with the Pharmacy so that vaccine is available for new admissions as soon as feasible. If staff or residents are interested – please complete a form which is at the front desk or if there is a resident who needs a resident representative to give consent- verbal consent can be given to the social service department and we will give the vaccination when the next opportunity arises.

We are resuming group activities, where we can social distance. Fully vaccinated residents no longer have to wear masks or practice social distancing when gathering or eating with other vaccinated residents. Unvaccinated residents, however, must still wear masks and practice social distancing during communal activities.

Vaccinated residents can now have close physical contact without masks with vaccinated visitors. Outside contractors, including barbers, can come in to provide needed resident services. If we identify a positive case and are performing outbreak testing, we will pause temporarily the ability of outside contractors to enter the building. In any case, all outside contractors and visitors must wear a mask.
